Interview Series
with Vince DelMonte -- author of No Nonsense 6 Pack Abs
& No Nonsense Muscle Building
Now that Vince DelMonte has showed skinny folks how to gain
muscles with his popular eBook, No Nonsense Muscle Building...
Vince came out with a NEW program called, No Nonsense 6 Pack Abs. Let's
find out what we need to do to do to shave off pounds of fat
and get a set of carved out, granite, six pack abs...
Matt Taylor: Vince, there is a HUGE debate which way
of training is best to lose the most fat, interval training or
steady cardio. Which method do you prefer and why?
Vince DelMonte: They both work so do
whichever one YOU prefer. What works for me might fail
miserably for you.
Recently I competed at the World Fitness Model Champs and I
met guys who did 90 minutes of long slow cardio a day in the
morning and others who do 30-45 minutes of hard running each
night. Completely opposite programs but they both work.

Vince DelMonte... the author
of No Nonsense Muscle Building
I personally use a mixture of both. I like longer and steady
cardio after my weights and harder cardio on it's own first
thing in the AM or before bed.
Pick a plan and see what you discover about your body.
MT: Now here is a question for my skinny readers...
what do you recommend we do first... focus on cutting down fat
or gaining muscles?
VD: Whichever one will make you look
better. You will always look harder and more defined around 10%
fat but if you are ultra skinny than focus on bulking first.
Just don't let your body go higher than 13-15% fat.
Once your body fast creeps over 15% fat I suggest cutting
back down to 10% ish.
Whichever you choose, make the decision and stick to it.
After 3 weeks of bulking, don't change your mind. Take each
goal to completion before changing goals.
MT: In your opinion... what variable is most
important if you want to lose belly fat and get sculpted abs...
nutrition, full body workouts or abdominal
exercises?
VD: Diet diet diet! 89-90% of the way you
look is nutrition. I've used dozens of programs over the year
and the only time my body changes is when I dial in on my
nutrition and follow a pre-set meal plan with a specific number
of calories and eat at specific times and follow it to the
letter.
MT: What is your favorite body building and fat
burning meal? Don't hold back... we want you to go into your
bank vault and reveal your secrets!
VD: When I was cutting, I had three staples
and they are VERY boring but they got the job done
Meal 1: 1 egg plus 10 egg whites + 3 cups of veggies + salsa
sauce
Meal 2: chicken breast + salsa sauce + 3 cups of veggies + 1
slice of whole wheat bread
Meal 3: 1.5 cans of tuna + salsa sauce + 3 cups of
veggies
When I am bulking I love making chocolate protein powder
with oatmeal, strawberries and natural peanut butter. I could
eat this all day!
MT: Can you give my readers a brief idea what it
feels like to be in Vince DelMonte's shoes? What is it like
getting ripped, 6 pack abs...?
VD: LOL I do my best to keep a level head
and if I don't my brothers and family will bring me back down
to earth. When I was younger and building the muscle, I fell
into the trap of "falling in love with yourself" but now I have
regained my passion for hard training and testing my body and
the physique is a cool pay off.
I like maintaining my reputation as a "fitness guy" and
being "the guy" in my circle of friends who people come to for
advice and for being "that guy" who has figured out how to have
a balanced life.
I do way more than just lift weights and look good so when
people see all the other things I do, the physique becomes more
impressive.
MT: Thanks Vince!
